Carlos D. Donato

Carlos D. Donato is a senior partner in the law Firm DONATO & BAEZ, Immigration Attorneys, with headquarters in Kissimmee, Florida. He was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico in 1968.

Mr. Donato has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from the University of Kentucky and obtained his Juris Doctor Degree from the University of Puerto Rico Law School in 1994.

While in law school, Mr. Donato worked as a Law Clerk for a San Juan law firm. As an attorney, Mr. Donato worked for the Department of Justice of Puerto Rico in the General Litigation Department during 1995 and founded  Donato Law Office in 1996 in San Juan, Puerto Rico which later in 1999 became DONATO & BAEZ, Law Offices with an active litigating practice in several areas of law including: Criminal, Contracts, Business, Torts, Medical Malpractice and Immigration law. In 2004 he opened his practice in Orlando, Florida and in 2006 co-founded DONATO & BAEZ, Immigration Attorneys in Kissimmee, Florida with practice limited to immigration law. DONATO & BAEZ assists clients and organizations anywhere in the United States and in several different countries.

Mr. Donato has over 25 years of experience working in the law related field and a practicing attorney for over 24 years. He is admitted to the Supreme Court of Puerto Rico, the U.S. District Court for the District of Puerto Rico and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit. He is also a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association.

ELBA M. BAEZ

Elba M. Baez has been working in the law field for over 26 years and has been exclusively devoted to helping the immigrant population for more than 16 years. She holds a B.A in Humanities, with concentration in European History and completed her Juris Doctor Degree in 1993, both degrees from the University of Puerto Rico.

As a law student, Mrs. Baez worked as a legislative assistant to Senator Marco Rigau, President of the Judiciary Committee in the Puerto Rico Senate and as a law clerk in one of San Juan’s largest law firms. Her first experience as an attorney was as law clerk in the Puerto Rico Supreme Court Central Panel (1993-1994), and later as a law clerk for Puerto Rico Supreme Court Justice, Hon Miriam Naveira de Rodon (1995-1996). Mrs. Baez acquired litigating experience as attorney for two San Juan law firms that specialized in labor law, personal injury, medical malpractice and insurance law at state and federal court, representing clients such as the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, American International Insurance, MetLife Insurance and K-Mart.

Mrs. Baez joined Mr. Donato’s law firm in 2000 and co-founded Donato & Baez Law Offices. Mrs. Baez added her medical malpractice labor and insurance law experience to the firm, tackling complex litigating issues before the state and federal court, the Office of the  Insurance Commissioner and the Puerto Rico Labor Department.  She joined forces with Mr. Donato to establish Donato & Baez Immigration Attorneys law firm in 2006 and has since been a senior attorney of the firm.

Mrs. Baez is admitted to the Supreme Court of Puerto Rico, the U.S. District Court for the District of Puerto Rico and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit. She was elected as at-large Delegate in the Puerto Rico Bar Association.
